Manaiakalani staff meeting around sharing

Today we were learning about sharing and how we do this these days and what it looks like...
Some questions to ponder were...
How do you prefer to SHARE?

Does it make a difference whether the content you are sharing is happy or sad, positive or negative?

Does it make a difference whether it is personal or professional, whether it includes others or only yourself?

Has this changed in recent years? If so, how?

If not, why do you think that is?
I was sitting with another teacher and we both agree it is totally dependent on what kind of conversation you are sharing, if we have some negative/sad news we are more likely to do this face to face...

Then we looked at examples of how we share.  We had to plot on the graph if we used the following:

1:1 eg face to face
1: Group eg family, class
<30 people
1:crowd eg hall or auditorium 30 - 1000s
1: world  global
